Obituary of Linda L. Judge

Linda Lane Judge, 77, of West Pittston passed away Monday, September 23, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. The loving wife of her childhood sweetheart, Raymond V. Judge, they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on October 21, 2024. Linda was the daughter of the late Edward and Shirley Dommermuth Lane of Avoca. She was a 1965 graduate of West Pittston High School and attended East Stroudsburg State College. Linda retired from US Food Service as a marketing assistant where she helped produce sales catalogues, organize food shows, and promote sales events. A caring and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, nothing gave Linda more joy than spending time with her family. Hot cups of coffee and afternoon catnaps were a close second. An avid gardener, knitter, and crafter, Linda spent many hours tending to her flower gardens, knitting in the evening hours, and turning antique chairs and old windowpanes into works of art. Knitting scarves was her specialty, and she joyfully donated most to local nursing homes. Active in the community, Linda served on the West Pittston Library Board, was a treasurer of the West Pittston Little League, and was an assistant leader of the local Girl Scout Troop. Linda is survived by her husband Raymond, her two children, son Raymond M. (Stacey) and daughter Megan (John Galiardi), her grandchildren Raymond J. Judge and Lily Judge, brothers, Richard Lane (Bonnie) and Michael Lane (Judy), sister Pat Martire (Lou), sister-in-law Ellen Gavich (Frank) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was pre-deceased by her brother Howard Lane. The Judge family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the United Methodist Home – Tunkhannock Campus for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Linda in the months prior to her passing. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Linda can be made to the West Pittston High School Alumni Association (Scholarship Fund) in care of Nat, Gawlas, Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilke-Barre, PA 18702.
