Steven Michael Chafin Obituary
Steven M. “Mike” Chafin, 72, of Tunkhannock, PA and Formerly of Virginia passed away at home Sunday, November 3, 2024. He was born in Fairfax, VA the son of the late Mildred “Penny” Smith Leland and Talford N. “Jack” Chafin. Mike attended Woodson High School.
He owned and operated a music store, Apple Music, in Fredericksburg, VA, for many years and was well respected in the area. He was an outstanding musician and performer.
Steven specialized in sales and repair of instruments, especially guitars. He was also a recording artist and song writer. He maintained his own recording studio in his home.He is
survived by his son Duane Reed, brother, Dennis and his wife Lois Chafin of Rixeyville, VA, best friend Jessica Illuzzi of Tunkhannock, PA, and nephews Brian Chafin & Cassidy (Dan) Chaffin.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2025.
