Aria Sistrunk

On December 9, 2024, our beloved Aria Marshette Sistrunk took her place among the angels. In her short yet profoundly meaningful time with us, she graced our world with a love so pure and a light so bright that her presence will forever shimmer in our hearts. Born on December 9, 2016, Aria’s life was a tapestry of beauty, curiosity, and boundless joy. A dedicated student at Hanover Green Elementary School, Aria earned her spot on the honor roll—a reflection of her bright mind and determined spirit. She loved to learn, ask questions, and embrace new experiences. Aria’s days were filled with laughter, song, and the warm glow of her radiant smile. She adored singing and brought a melody of joy to everyone she met. She cherished the comfort of good food, and delighted in welcoming new friends into her circle of love. With a fearless spark, Aria embraced Ju-Jitsu, showing a strength and courage well beyond her years. A loving daughter, sister, niece, and granddaughter, Aria’s generous heart and kind nature touched all who knew her. Though her time here was brief, she taught us to savor every moment, to dance with abandon, and to cherish the gentle kindness that ties families and friends together. Aria was the beloved daughter of Taleek Sistrunk and Philichia Taylor, and the cherished stepdaughter of Destiny Michelle. She was the adoring sister of Tamiyah Taylor, Ava Taylor, Tamir Taylor, and Shaddai Sistrunk, each carrying a piece of her love forward in their hearts. She was deeply loved by her devoted grandfather, Stacey Sistrunk; her great-grandmother, Leaner Sistrunk; and her great-grandfather, William Drew. Countless friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, and god-sisters were touched by Aria’s shining spirit, each relationship adding a new thread of love to the tapestry of her life. In Heaven, Aria is welcomed by those who passed before her. We find comfort in knowing she rests safely in God’s embrace, now reunited with her great-grandmother, Bobbie Clark Hargrove; great-grandfather, Edward Hargrove; grandmothers, DeRon Clark and Linda Reeder; grandfather, Philip Morant; Aunt Janelle, Aunt Marie, and other beloved family members who have gone ahead. We will honor Aria’s beautiful life on December 13th at NAT•GAWLAS•JORDAN FUNERAL HOME, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, beginning with visitation at 2:00 p.m., followed by a service from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We invite all who were touched by her warmth to join us in remembering her radiant spirit. In celebrating Aria, let us carry forward her legacy: sing freely, love fiercely, cherish your loved ones, and reach out a gentle hand to a new friend in need.
