Adeline “Ruby” Nestorick, 88, of Larksville passed away Wednesday January 22, 2025,
at Highland Manor Nursing Home, Exeter. She was born in Wilkes-Barre the daughter
of the late John and Stella Parvinski Soltis. Ruby graduated from Meyers High School.
She was a waitress, bartender, and cleaning lady at the Larksville American Legion
Post for over 47 years and also worked at Leonard’s Kielbasi Market, Parsons. Ruby
was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of Larksville American Legion Post 655.
Ruby was a hard working, caring and a no nonense kind of person, She would tell you
how it is, how it should have been, and how it’s gonna be. Her favorite sayings are
“That’s another story” &“ That’s besides the point”. Ruby made her presence known
where ever she was. She will be forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank the staff at Highland Manor & Compassion Care for the
love and dedicated care she received. Esha & Amber Lee who Ruby referred to as her
girls went above and beyond the call of duty to make our mother feel loved and cared
for. Their efforts and dedication are noticed , appreciated, and felt by our family. We are
grateful for all they have done.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Travinski, 1964 and her
second husband, Charles Nestorick, 1994, brother, Edward Soltis, and sister, Theresa
Soltis.
Survived by daughters, Diane Travinski, Larksville, Gina Palmaioli and her husband
Bryan Sr. Queen Creek, AZ, granddaughter, Angelena Palmaioli and her wife, Stacie
Schaner, grandson, Bryan Palmaioli Jr. and his wife, Molly, great grandson, Jamie Allen,
brother, Joseph Soltis, Las Vegas, NV and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 28,
2025, in St. John the Baptist Parish, 126 Nesbitt St. Larksville with the Rev. Gerald J.
Gurka officiating.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the church.
Interment will follow mass in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, Larksville.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home,
Wilkes-Barre and Edwardsville.
