David S. Thomas, 58 of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Wilkes Barre, son of the late John P. and Karin E. Roskoski Thomas. David was a graduate of

Bishop Hoban High School and the University of Scranton. David was employed as a manager at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Wilkes-Barre Township.

David had a beautiful singing voice and sang for many years alongside his mother in the Saint Jude’s Parish Choir, Mountain Top, where he was a member.

When David was younger, he used his talents to sing with the group Up with People which allowed him to travel and perform in different regions of the world. While traveling,

David fell in love with Germany where he stayed for a number of years to work for an appliance company named

Miele. While there, David learned to speak German fluently much to the delight of his German born Grandmother

Maria. David had many friends and was known for his witty sense of humor. He was an avid gardener, loved

acquiring antiques and restoring furniture.

David is survived by his siblings, John C. Thomas and his wife Kelly, Mountain Top, Dina M. Thomas,

Sedona, AZ., Paul J. Thomas and his wife, Missy, Clermont, FL; nieces and nephew Josie, Christina, Sarah,

Emily and Paul Jr.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral

Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
