Gerald Rodski Obituary

Gerald Leonard Rodski of Mountain Top entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2025. He passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his daughter at her home.

Gerry was most proud of his family and considered being a father and

grandfather his greatest accomplishments. He shared an incredible bond with his daughter, filled with love and mutual respect. He also leaves behind a grandson, who was the light of his life. Gerry never missed an opportunity to tell his family and friends how much he loved them.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1947, he was the son of the late Frank Stanley and Josephine (née Siegel) Rzodski (Rodski). He was a 1965 graduate of Westside Central Catholic High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Data Processing from King's College in 1969. He worked as a computer systems analyst at Penn Security Bank in Scranton and was the founder and manager of both the VHF Shop and SSB Electronic USA, Mountain Top.

Gerry was an active member of the Murgas Amateur Radio Club, holding the call sign K3MKZ. Through ham radio, he built a network of lifelong, cherished friendships.

As the lead guitarist for The Cobras, Gerry took great pride in his musical talents, especially seeing his grandson follow in his footsteps and develop a love for music of his own.

A member of St. Jude's Church in Mountain Top, Gerry served as a lector at St. Ann's Chapel in Nuangola.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Rodski, M.D., his grandson,

Sebastian, both of Mountain Top, and his former wife, Constance (née

Kopera). He was predeceased by his brother, Frank C. Rodski, of Eldersburg, Maryland.
