Dolores A. Liscosky, 95, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Peter and Agnes Talacka. Dolores was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School, Class of 1947.

Dolores’ beautiful voice was a fixture in the Holy Trinity choir. She was especially inspired when her son Joseph was the organist. Mrs. Liscosky was an integral part of her husband’s business. Specifically the two years following the 1972 flood she wore out several typewriters typing for the many homeowners suffering the loss of their homes. Mrs. Liscosky was an active member of the Kaycees, Council 302, always caring, always volunteering to help

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Liscosky in 2005. She was predeceased by three infant sons, Benjamin, Charles and Michael, She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, David and Raymond Talacka.

Dolores is survived by her loving son, Joseph Liscosky of Wilkes-Barre and by her sister, Janet Francis, Nanticoke, and by her nieces and nephews,

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 9:30 am from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 am in St. Nicholas-St. Mary’s Parish, 226 S. Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek Township.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
