Dear Ann and family, My sincere condolences on the passing of Charlie. I had the pleasure of having Charlie as a teammate with the Central League’s Mountain Top Toppers in 1968. I was 17. Charlie has gone to play, coach, and party with the angels. My deepest sympathies goes out to Ann,and family.I watched Charlie play footbal @Meyers,while I was@ Lafayette Elementary School,where his father was our Head Custodian,and again viewed him playing football@Wilkes,when I attended Meyers,and eventually served on the faculty of G.A.R.,with him.I came to know him as a wonderful friend,which I admired,one that inspired all those around him to want to do their best.He was very special,he made the world a better place. Dear Ann & Family, My sincere condolences on the passing of Charlie. He was a great husband, father & grandfather. Our lives connected through football. Charlie was a hell of a coach and we had many battles against each other. Whether it was a win or loss, we always shared pleasantries and respected each other.
