Mary Dorothy Blazick, 87, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing in Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late George Watkins and the late Mary (Morgans) Zagorsky Special. Mary was a graduate of St. Therese’s High School in Wilkes-Barre. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a waitress at the Mark II Family Restaurant and at Joe Palooka’s Diner for over 30 years.

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Blazick in 2009 and by her daughter-in-law, Joann Blazick in 1988 and her sister, Ann Juan Pelusio in 2024.

Mary is survived by her children, Stanley & Maureen Blazick, Mary Blazick Gronka, Francine and George Wolfe, and Christine Skrepenak; grandchildren, Thomas and Alexa Paul, Chelsea Skrepenak Corby, Martha Corby, Hope Wolfe, Faith Wolfe and Joshua Gronka; great grandchildren, Lucy and Colt Paul. She is also survived by her brother, Drew Zagorski and her sister, Dolly Krushank; along with numerous nieces and nephew.

Mary’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing and Allied Services Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care that they provided to Mary and her family.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
