Joe A. “Jag or JoJo” Grochowski, 50, of Hanover Twp lost his battle with brain cancer on August 15, 2025. Joe was born in Manhattan, NY. and as a teen he moved to PA where he met his wife Jamie and raised their children. He was an excellent meticulous plumber, who cared for his customers, even one time getting paid with cookies. Joe enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beastie Boys, drinking Budweiser, camping, and quad riding.
He was a fearless, headstrong renaissance man with a generous heart who would always have your back and protect his family. Joe will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Loretta Kumor Grochowski.
Survived by his wife Jamie (Welsh) Grochowski, daughter, Julia Grochowski, son, Joey Grochowski, both of Hanover Twp., brother, Anthony “Tony” Grochowski and his wife Mary, Orangeburg, NY, sister, Karen Kulik and her husband Henry, Sellersville, PA, also aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Respecting his wishes there will be no formal service. A celebration of Joe’s life will be planned in the future where family and friends can share memories of a man who was truly one of a kind.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
