Caroline J. Ridley Obituary

Caroline J. Ridley 87 of West Pittston passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Caroline was born in Tunkhannock, to the late Thomas Bulford and Dorothy Brown Bulford Ridley, she attended West Pittston High School, and was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston.


She shared 60 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, David Ridley and together they built a life rooted in love and togetherness.


Family was always the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in caring for her three daughters, her 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She also was a caregiver for numerous children throughout the years and always welcomed friends of her daughters with open arms. She enjoyed shopping, fashion and was an avid gardener who loved tending to her garden and her plants. Known for her warmth and hospitality, you could always count on being greeted with a fresh cup of coffee when you visited her home. Her love and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.


Caroline was preceded in death by her brothers Ernie, Thomas, William, Lionel, and Ronald Bulford, sisters Barbra Stanczyk, and Anna May Lawrence.


Caroline is survived by her husband David Ridley, daughters Carol Ann "Missie" Ridley Schreffler, Tina Ridley, and Diane Ridley Romanczuk, grandchildren Trina Ridley, Daniel Malesinski, Marissa Schreffler, Ashlynn and Albert Hite, Brian Wnenta, David M. Ridley, Daniel and Dayana Romanczuk, great grandchildren Dominick, Audrina, Caylee, Jake, Jaxon, Nevaeh, Amiah, Alayna, Devlin, Dante, Sakiah, Jakeem, her brother David Bulford, sister Ellen Vanluvender, and various nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from Nat Gawals Jordan Funeral Home, West, 717 Main Street Edwardsville. Interment will be in West Pittston Cemetary


A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday September 2, 2025, 5:00 p.m. To 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
