Kristen Martinelli Obituary

Kristen Martinelli ,55, of Shavertown, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of Simon Daywood and the Late Aileen Drugan Miller. She was a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, class of 1987 and King’s College. Kristen worked in the administration department of Penn State University, Scranton and King’s College. She was a member of St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, where she was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.


She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Kristen loved deeply her daughters Aileen and Gianna.


She was preceded in death by her mother, Aileen Drugan Miller.


Surviving is her father, Simon Daywood, stepfather, Harry Miller, daughters, Aileen Overman and her partner, Devin Withee, Pittston; Gianna Martinelli, Dupont; granddaughter, Violet Overman; sisters, Amy Yenason, Dallas, Lauren Moore and her husband Tim, Dallas, nieces and nephews Isabelle Albert, Timothy Moore, and Abel Moore, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, with Divine Liturgy at 10 am in St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Catholic Church, 311 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Her Pastor, Rev. Adib Salameh will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.



In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Catholic Church Building Fund, c/o 323 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.


Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
