David M. Kambies, 71, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Herbert and Gertrude Zengion Kambies. David was a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and Luzerne County Community College, where he received his associates degree. Prior to his retirement, David was employed as a draftsman by Dorranceton Millwork Inc. and by several local architectural firms.

David loved football and he was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Michaeline Kambies in 1984.

David is survived by his sister, Gail May, Laflin and her companion, Joseph Reynolds, Clinton, NJ; and by his brother, Keith Kambies and his companion, Angie Mahoric, La Honda, CA; nephews, Jerry May and his wife, Linnea, Pittsburgh; and Brian May and his wife, Kelli, Shavertown; 3 great nieces. He is also survived by his aunts and several cousins.

David’s funeral service will be held at a future date to be announced.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
