Jean M. Soltis, 72, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of the late Clement Sr. and Regina Malinowski Perluke. Prior to her retirement, Jean was employed for many years as a secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St. Nicholas-St. Mary Parish in Wilkes-Barre.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Soltis and her brother, Clem Perluke and her infant brother, James Perluke.

Jean is survived by her children, Anthony George, Wilkes-Barre, and Amy George and her husband, Gonzalo Garcia, Wilkes-Barre, granddaughter, Emily Garcia George. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Helen Perluke and by her nephews, Kevin Perluke and his wife, Samantha and Eric Perluke.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11 am from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 am in St. Nicholas-St. Mary Parish, 226 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
