Lois J. Albrecht Obituary

Lois Albrecht of Wilkes-Barre passed away at home on Feb 3, 2026. Born in Wilkes-Barre to the late Richard and Grace Albrecht, she attended GAR Memorial High School. After graduation, she served our country by enlisting in the US Navy, serving in the Korean War. After serving her country, she worked for Social Security. Once she retired, she enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, baking, and watching the New York Giants and Penn State Football with her sister Ruth. She was a former member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Wilkes-Barre. Lois will be missed by her family and friends.


In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her brother Richard Albrecht, and her sisters Dorothy Widman, Ruth Albrecht, and Carol Dobbs. She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Brian Dobbs and his wife Shelly, David Dobbs and his wife Lisa, Ron Widman and his wife Debbie, and Lori Albrecht and her husband Ed Grivner.


Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Hanover Green Cemetery.


Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home on Park Ave in Wilkes-Barre.
