Jane Ann Uzdilla Obituary

Jane A. Uzdilla, 92, of Hanover Twp. passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at The Meadows Nursing Home, Dallas. She was born in Wilkes-Barre the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Gaughan Reed. Jane graduated from St. Leo’s High School, Ashley. She was the Classified Advertising Manager at The Times Leader for 24 years prior to her retirement and previously worked at Bell Telephone.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Uzdilla, brothers, Robert and Richard Reed.


Survived by her son, Jeff Miller, daughter Susan Pelletier and her husband Dale, stepchildren Arlene Prescott, Edward Uzdilla Jr and Barbara Bowman, grandchildren, Sophia Shortz, Jeffrey Miller, Ashley Berry, Matthew Pelletier, Erin Pelletier, step grandchildren, Melissa Prescott, Neil Prescott , Edward Uzdilla III, Samantha Bowman, Bailey Bowman great grandchildren, Noah Shortz, Kennedy Shortz, Reagan Miller, Jordan Miller, Quinn Berry, Cooper Berry, Owen Anderson, Hadley Pelletier, and sister, Margaret Sweeney.


A funeral service be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2026, from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. Leo the Great Parish, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley.


A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2026, at the funeral Home.


Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
