Roberta "Bobbie" Kennedy Obituary
Roberta “Bobbie” Kennedy, 91, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Leland and Bertery Warke Farley. Bobbie was a 1952 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. She was formerly employed as an artist for Hy-Art Lamp, she was later employed by Sallie Mae, prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Farley and his wife, Ann, and by her brother-in-law, Francis, “Skip” Giampietro.
Bobbie is survived by her children, Kevin Kennedy, Kingston, Lee Ann Piazza and her husband, Mark, Swoyersville, Patty Wetzel and her husband, Kenneth, Downingtown, and Shawn Kennedy and his wife, Trisha, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Jennnifer Wadas, Katelyn Kennedy, Malia Piazza, Shana and Ryan Wetzel and Shawn and James Kennedy; great grandchildren, Dayne and Kenadee Wadas. She is also survived by her brother, Warren Farley and his wife, Barbara, Hanover Township; sister, Edith Giampietro, Mountain Top, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Rev. Carol E. Coleman, will officiate. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobbie’s memory to Ruth’s Place, 425 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
