Fred F. Gray Obituary

Fred F. Gray Obituary

Fred F. Gray, 77, of Hanover Township, passed away March 13, 2026 at Hampton House

following a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born March 2, 1949 he was a son of the late Fred L and Betty Gray. Fred was a 1967 graduate of

GAR High School and a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in electrical

engineering.

Fred was loved by so many. He was an amazing cook and his homemade pizza was famous. It

was the centerpiece of many a party. People would always ask him when the next pizza party

was! He was known for his unending list of jokes and could be found at the center of any group

making people laugh. He could fix just about anything, in sometimes the most “interesting

ways.”

He was a devoted father, grandfather, partner, uncle and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Gray, and

his brother Rick Gray.

He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Keller and her husband Bill; Kelly Kablick and her

husband John; son Jeff; grandchildren, Mason Gray, Sydney and Tyler Keller, Cole and Camden

Kablick; his loving and devoted partner, Peggy Futch; sister-in-law Carol Gray, goddaughter

Alison Gray, nephews Rich Gray, Chris Gray, and great-nephew Noah Gray.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hampton House for their loving care and support.

They took amazing care of our dad and treated him with love and respect. He made an

impression on staff and residents alike. We would also like to thank Compassionate Care

Hospice team, especially Becky Peters, Dennis and Cathy. Their support was a great comfort.

A celebration of Fred’s life will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 5-7 pm at the Nat

Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
