Frances Ann (Swiderski) Saba passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 78, after spending the day peacefully with her family at Allied Hospice in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The oldest daughter of the late Frank and Anne Swiderski, she was born on March 13, 1948, and resided for most of her life in south Wilkes-Barre. Fran was a 1966 graduate of GAR High School and went on to a career as a nurse and a surgical technician. She is survived by her sons Eli (Katie) Saba, of Dover, OH, WiI (Steph) Saba, of Minneapolis, MN and nephew and godson Adam (Megan) Michaels and their children Chloe and Gabby of Larksville.

Also left to treasure her memory are her sisters Dolores (Frank) Michaels, of Forty Fort and Bernadette (Mark) Drobish, of Larksville, special cousins Sylvia Swiderski and Robert Jorgensen and former in-laws Lynn Ziegler and Bill (Margaret) Saba. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Fran was also preceded in death by her cousins Jackie Swiderski, Barbara O'Day and Eunice Nagle, who were like siblings, and former in-law Leo "Butch" Ziegler Sr., as well as friends Pete Lasarde, Paul Brooks and fiancé Joseph Kelly. Her adored Chihuahua, Sammy is waiting for her at the rainbow bridge.

Fran will still be able to be heard cursing at her beloved New York Giants while sipping Starbucks from the afterlife.

A celebration of life service will take place Saturday March 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre

A visitation for family and friends will at the funeral from 4:00 pm until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
