Teresa Marie Featherstone

Teresa Marie Featherstone, 62, of Swoyersville, passed away unexpectantly at

her home on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Frank B. and Theresa M.

Skowronski Wengen. Teresa was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School,

Class of 1981. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wilkes

University in 1985. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed in the

accounting field by various companies.

Teresa was a devoted member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in

Swoyersville, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered as a

pierogi maker.

Teresa enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, playing bingo and being a soccer

mom. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and carrying on family

traditions.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert

Featherstone and by her sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen and Ellen Wengen and by her

brother-in-law, James Featherstone.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Robert T. Featherstone

and by her son, Michael Robert Featherstone; brothers, Frank Wengen Jr., Harveys

Lake, Paul Wengen, Lake Winola, Steve Wengen and his wife, Linda, Dallas and

by her sister, Donna Wengen, Wilkes-Barre. She is also survived by her brothers-

in-law, Mark Featherstone and his wife, Peggy, Newtown, PA and Edward “Ned”

Featherstone, Fort Lauderdale, FL; and by numerous nieces and nephews, her great

nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Teresa’s life will begin with a visitation for family and friends

on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 5-7 pm at the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home,

89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre and will continue with a visitation on Friday

morning, June 5, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116

Hughes Street, Swoyersville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am.

Her Pastor, Rev. John Chmil will officiate.​
