Edward Heck, 90, passed away Tuesday June 30, 2026, at Mt. Top

Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Mt. Top. He formerly resided at

Palmer House, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre the son of the late Harry and Elizabeth Basler

Heck. Edward attended G.A.R. High School. Prior to his retirement he

worked at Sanitary Laundry, St. Boniface School and the City of

Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of St. Andrew Parish, Wilkes-Barre. Edward

loved to do puzzles, go bowling at Stanton Lanes and work in his garden.

Edward enjoyed setting up his model train display for the holiday season.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Leona Konopka and brothers,

Harry, Donald, Gerald and Robert Heck.

Edward is survived by sisters, Phyllis Heck, Wilkes-Barre, Lucille

Schneikart, Wilkes-Barre, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mt. Top Rehabilitation and

Healthcare Center for the wonderful care they showed for Edward.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from Nat

Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of

Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. from St. Andrew Parish, 316

Parrish St. Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery,

Hanover Twp.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Monday, July 6, 2026, from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home,

Wilkes-Barre.
