Obituary of Bruce Evansky

Richard “Bruce” Evansky, 60, of Larksville passed away Sunday August 21, 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Bruce was born in Kingston to the late Thomas and Ethel Devens Evansky. He graduated from West Side Vo Tech School, Pringle, specializing in sheet metal welding. Bruce was employed at Proctor & Gamble, Mehoopany and as a self-employed contractor. He was a talented musician, an avid music fan, contractor, and had an infectious sense of humor. He was in numerous bands for many years and enjoyed playing with his bandmates at local venues. Bruce founded his own Neil Young tribute band in recognition of his favorite artist and his musical talents will surely be missed. Bruce enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends at favorite watering holes. He was also an enthusiastic Philadelphia Eagles Fan! Preceded in death by his sister, Charlene. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Evansky and his wife Bebe, Williamsport. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. from Edwards & Russin Funeral and Cremation Services Inc. 717 Main St., Edwardsville with the Rev. Andrii Dumnych officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service at the Funeral home. A private interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
