Geraldine Lawryk, 93, of New Brunswick, New Jersey passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at Parker at Somerset Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Plains Twp., PA to the late Anthony and Anna Adams Javick. Geraldine graduated from Plains Township High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Wilkes-Barre. She was employed by Fort Riley Medical Center, Kansas and subsequently as a private duty nurse prior to retirement. Geraldine was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, New Brunswick, N.J., and the Sisterhood of St. Ann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lawryk and daughter, Judith Lawryk.

Survived by sons, Dr. Nicholas Lawryk, Zachary Lawryk, and daughter, Susan Prusan along with her two children Sophia and Noah.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday September 23, 2023, at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church 635 N. River Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA. with the Rev. Myron Myronyuk officiating. Interment will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Plains.

Friends and family may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
