Obituary of Robert Whittaker

Robert E. Whittaker II November 5, 2023 Robert E. Whittaker II, 71, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 5, 2023 Bob was born in Nanticoke, the son of the late Robert and Theresa Paczkowski Whittaker. He was a graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School class of 1970. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at numerous local hospitals. His retirement job was with Century Security at Aldi’s in Kingston. Bob was a past member of St. Stephens Pro Cathedral serving on the vestry for many years and was an ordained minister with Christian Global Outreach Ministries. He was currently a member of St. Clement & St. Peters Episcopal church in Wilkes-Barre, serving on the vestry and was an alter server. He was a devoted husband of 35 years to Sharon Pastula Whittaker, loving father to Ashley Teets (Kyle) and Shelby Whittaker (Brian) and proud grandfather to Madeline, Madison, Lillianna, Alivia, Camellia and Kayden. Bob took great pride in his home, yard and vehicles (Fords). He enjoyed the company of his many pets. Bob was a quiet man with a positive outlook in life. He had a strong faith. Bob never missed an opportunity to sit and talk to family and friends over a good cup of coffee. Bob is also survived by sisters in law Linda Schuler and husband David, Diane Metter and husband Mark, several nieces and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11 :00 A.M. in the Episcopal Church of St. Clement & St. Peter, 165 Hanover Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Fr. Charles Warwick and Fr. Joseph Rafferty officiating. Family and friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. “There are no goodbyes for us.
