Michael Patrick McDade, 72, formerly of Wilkes-Barre passed into the lord’s hands Monday April 8, 2024.He graduated from Myers High School, class of 1969 and attended Slippery Rock University. Prior to retirement he was an Optician at Balester Optical for over 30 years. Mike was an avid sports fan, his passion was for the New York Yankees, New York Giants, Notre Dame, and the Boston Celtics.

Preceding him in death were his parents Edward and Mary Ellen McDade.

He is survived by brother, Edward McDade, sisters, Patricia McDade, Maureen McGavin (Jim), Nephews Jim (Erin), Ryan (Erica), Chris (Lia) great nieces and nephews, Kenzie, Madelyn, Brendon, and Cameron

A Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday April 12, 2024, at the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre with the Rev. Shawn Walker officiating.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
