Please share a memory of Lorraine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lorraine Hill, 86, of Larksville passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at The Village at Greenbriar, Dallas. She was born in Wilkes-Barre the daughter of the late Michael and Marianna Skaff Elias. A proud Mohawk, Lorraine graduated from Meyers High School in 1956. Having spent the early part of her 20s as a successful swimsuit model, Lorraine eventually achieved her life-long dream of working the night shift as a data-entry analyst at the Social Security Administration before completing her professional career at Wilkes-Barre’s VA Hospital as a cardiologist (‘s administrative assistant). She cherished spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved nearly as much as her dog, Samson, and loved her two children unconditionally…most of the time. Having played the violin and some piano, her love of music was exceeded only by her joy in triggering sudden spikes in the blood pressure of her beloved husband of nearly 60 years. She loved to laugh, particularly in circumstances where it was inappropriate to do so. Known for her meticulous attention to fashion and keen sense of style, Lorraine often dazzled on-lookers with her bold, modern take on classic casual sportswear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hill, brother, Joey Elias, sister, Jennie Elias, sister, Helen Elias and her dog, Samson. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hill and her husband Henry, Arlington, VA, son, Jeff Hill and his wife Susan, Baltimore, M.D., grandchildren, Nam, Rachel, Lydia, Katie, A.J., sister, Norma Brown, California, brother, George Elias and his wife Linda, Georgia, brother, Joseph Elias and his wife Sue, Wilkes-Barre, and several nieces and nephews.
