Obituary of Rose M. Antosh-Hoxie

Rose M. Antosh-Hoxie June 21, 2024 Rose M. Antosh-Hoxie, 85, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the River View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Plains Township. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Hoheneder Donabauer. She was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. Rose was a member of the former St. Boniface Church in Wilkes-Barre. She was employed for many years at the Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. Rose was later employed at the Mohegan Sun Arena and at the FM Kirby Center, prior to her retirement. Rose served for many years as a volunteer at Allied Services Rehabilitation Center in Wilkes-Barre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Maryann Donabauer and by her brothers, Joseph and Paul Donabauer. Rose is survived by her sons, Richard Antosh, Kingston; Jerry Antosh and his wife, Patti, Seneca Falls, NY and David Antosh and his wife, Beth, Plains Township. She is also survived by her grandson, Tyler and by her step-grandchildren, Rebecca and Benjamin; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose’s children would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the River View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, for their wonderful care. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10 am from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
