Michael J. Zelinka, 87, of Nuangola passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in

the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre a son of the late Michael J. and Frances Kasavage

Zelinka. Michael was a 1955 graduate of St. Nicholas High School and he

received his associate’s degree in electrical engineering from Penn State

University. Prior to his retirement, Michael was employed for many years by the

RCA Corp in Mountain Top.

Michael is survived by his wife of 62 years, Florence E. Klosko Zelinka; and by

his brother, Leonard Zelinka and his wife, Helen, Mountain Top. He is also

survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon in the Chapel of Holy

Trinity Cemetery, Rte. 115, Bear Creek Township. Deacon William Behm will

officiate.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery on Tuesday.
