Jean Steblinski Obituary

Jean Steblinski, 82, passed away on August 2, 2024, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.


Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Helen Yatison Steblinski. Jean was a graduate of Coughlin High School and Wilkes University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing.


Jean was a patron of the local arts, enjoying the Philharmonic, Channel 44’s Celtic Women and Riverdance. She also enjoyed day trips to Claws n Paws and she was a yearly sponsor for Toys for Tots.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Steblinski.


Jean is survived by her sister, Joan Palute and by her niece, Denise Palute and nephew, Frank Palute and his wife, Andrea.


Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
