James F. “Jimmy” Gelsleichter, 64, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre to the late James P. and Patricia Connell Gelsleichter. James graduated from Bishop Hoban High School, Wilkes-Barre after graduation he served in the United States Air Force. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the PA Liquor Control Board.

He is survived by brother, Michael Gelsleichter and his wife Kathleen, Florida, sisters, Margaret Wilde and her husband William, Wilkes-Barre Twp., and Mary Gelsleichter, Wilkes-Barre, nieces and nephews, Katelyn Virga, Fallon Gelsleichter, Maggie Cibello, Coleen Shaffer, Victoria Wilde, Kristen Wilde, Chloe Wilde, Sean Kyle Reilly, Kayla Reilly, Liam Reilly, Killian Reilly, Tessa Reilly, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday September 26, 2024, at 9:30 am from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am in St. Andrew Parish, 316 Parish Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday September 25, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral Home.
