John A. Michael Jr., 75, formerly of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at his home in Parma, Ohio.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, as son of the late John A. Michael Sr. and Nora Sessin Michael.

John was a member of St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, and a member of the Knights of Lebanon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony and Francis ‘Yogi’ Michael.

John is survived by his wife of 29 years, Michell Margaret (nee Zsebedics); sister, Lena Michael, Wilkes-Barre; sister-in-law, Marie Michael, Wilkes-Barre; and by his nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11 am in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1594 S. Main Street, Hanover Township, PA. Rev. Adib Salameh, Pastor of St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Catholic Church, will officiate.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
