Walter J. Mulcahy Jr., 65, of Edwardsville passed away Wednesday October 16, 2024, at home. He was born in Ozone Park, New York the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Devoy Mulcahy. Walter graduated from St. Helena’s High School, Bronx, New York. After graduation Walter joined the Navy. He was employed by the US Postal Service prior to retirement.

In retirement, besides enjoying his classic war and western movies, he spent his years watching his grandchildren grow up very proudly. He always enjoyed hearing how everyone was doing.

He is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Barbara Coppola Catania, and brother-in-law, Steve Millewski.

Survived by sons, Sean Mulcahy, Edwardsville, PA, Ryan Mulcahy, Greeley, PA, Tristan Mulcahy and spouse Brooke, Greenville, NC, daughter, Jessica Chiappa Cross, Sciota, PA, grandchildren, Bethany Mulcahy, Kayden Cross, Dominic & Savanna Vecchio, brother, Michael Mulcahy, Jackson Heights, NY, sisters, Patricia Mulcahy, Crofton, MD, Kathleen Janikian and her husband Joseph, Bradenton, FL, niece and nephew, Michelle and Nicholas Janikian.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday October 22, 2024, from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre.

Relatives and friends will gather from 4:00 pm until time of service at the funeral Home.

Interment will be at 10:30 am Wednesday October 23, 2024, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA
