Tamam Webby, 86, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
Tamam was born in Kour, Lebanon, daughter of the late Daher Sleiman Daher and Mariam Hana Fares Daher. Tamam emigrated from Lebanon in June 1969, with her husband and daughters, settling in Wilkes-Barre.
Tamam was a devout Catholic and member of St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Catholic Church in Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, daughter, Angie and son, Leo. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jacqueline Daher and Najla Tohme.
Tamam is survived by her loving children, Tina Eichler, Sabah Webby-DeMace (Dominick), and George (Michelle). Her brother George Daher (Yvonne), sister Marie Khoury (Antoun). She is also survived by grandchildren, Kayleigh, Sarah, Gianna, Alexa, Taylor and Joseph, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tamam’s love for gardening, cooking Lebanese meals, baking flat bread on her saj, crocheting, creative sewing, and camping brought her immense joy. We were blessed to have a wonderful mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed and never forgotten. We will forever hold her in our hearts. Her unconditional love, strength, and sacrifice will always inspire us. Never forgetting her birthplace, she would always say, pray for Lebanon.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Divine Liturgy was celebrated in St. Anthony-St. George Maronite Catholic Church. Interment was held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
