Robert A. Byczek Sr., 66, of Edwardsville passed away Tuesday December 10, 2024, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born in Kingston to the late Edward and Josephine Hanadel Byczek. Robert graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School, class of 1976. He enlisted in the Army Reserves after high school, serving 16 years with the 109th Field Artillery, Kingston.
Robert was employed at Fortune Fabrics and a member of Steel Workers Union, Wilkes-Barre Local 15253 Bridge and Heavy Highway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron Byczek and sisters Joann James and Christen Zakseski.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Barbara Adamski Byczek, his children Ian of Shavertown, Robert Jr. and his wife Kristen of Kingston and his grandson Grayson.
He is also survived by his siblings Edward, Richard, Mary Ann Taylor, and Jackie Triplett
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Nat Gawlas Jordan West Funeral Home, 717 Main St Edwardsville.
