Louise Usloski Obituary

Louise Usloski, 88, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.


She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Burke Hahn. Louise attended Wilkes-Barre City Schools and she was a graduate of

G.A.R. Memorial High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Wiilkes-Barre.


Louise was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Caring for her family was the most important thing in her life. She will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren and all who knew her. Louise also shared her love as a Foster Grandparent at the Heights Elementary School in Wilkes-Barre.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Usloski in 2001 and by her grandsons, Alan Bonn and John Lord and by her daughter-in-law, Laura Dale. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Roseanne Dunay, Theresa Vital and Maryann Oleniak and by her brother, Edmund Hahn.


Louise is survived by her loving children, Richard Dale and his wife, Sharon, Dunellen, NJ; Mary Dale, Wilkes-Barre; Michael Dale and his wife, Adria Knecht, Wilkes-Barre; John Dale, Mountain Top; Arthur Dale, Wilkes-Barre and Joann Bonn and her husband, David, Mountain Top; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Bernadette Banta, Shavertown; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Funeral services for Louise will be held on Monday at 11 am from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Deacon William Behm will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.


A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 3 – 5 pm at the funeral home.
