God, while we don't always have answers as to
why we suffer, we are grateful that You are
with us in our suffering. But if we're being
honest, it can be easy to forget You are near
when we are lost in our grief. Sometimes the
pain makes us feel numb, but at other times, it
tears us apart.
When the weight of what we are walking
through overwhelms us, remind us of Your
presence. Create something eternally
beautiful out of our pain, and help us to keep
going.
Show us how to rejoice in our sufferings, so
that suffering produces endurance,
endurance produces character, and character
produces hope.
We know that You are the God who is close to
us. You are near to the brokenhearted and
You save the crushed in spirit. You are our
God, and You never leave us.
Though sorrow may surround us, remind us
that joy is coming. Even in our grieving, let our lives bring you glory. In Jesus name we Pray Amen
