Brenda Williams was born on November 11,1949 to the late Otto and Juanita (Dewalt) Williams. Brenda was the youngest of 5. Brenda formal education was in Jersey City Public Schools. She went on to attend Montclair University and Saint Peter's College where she received an Associate degree and a Bachelor’s degree. Brenda was employed by Jersey City Child Development Center Inc. Headstart as a Social Worker supervisor prior to her retirement.
Brenda was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Brenda leaves to cherish her memories four children Tawanna Washington, Durham NC, Serena Washington Jersey City NJ, William Moore Jersey City NJ, Rachel Moore Edwardsville PA. One sister Jeanette Cuthbert. 24 grandchildren Samantha, Shawn, Derrick, Mary, Brenda, Andre, Sevena,Bianca, Naheem, Nayata, Tarena, Wesley Jr., Howard, Joshua, William Jr., Quamire , Alissa, Jahni, Samar, Azeirah, Alivia, Serenity, and Wyman.11 great grandchildren and a host of niece's and nephews.
Proceeding her in death is her parents Mr.and Mrs. Williams, her brothers David Sr. Howard one sister Willie Mae and one granddaughter Wilma.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday March 12, 2022, at the Edwards & Russin Funeral and Cremation Services Inc. 717 Main St. Edwardsville.
