I have a memory of my father that I will share. I was probably 4yrs old and us boys had been a real hand full that day. Dad had told us "no more trouble if you boys cause any more trouble yous would be going to live with your grandpa." Well us three went to are room and started jumping on the bed while Pat threw this blanket up in the air over our heads. The blanket caught the light fixture and it fell and broke over Pat's head very loudly. Dad came in yelling and fussing than went to get stuff to clean it up. Well Pat and I knew where we were going so we packed a suit case and went out the front door. We made it down to the corner, at night, before we looked at each other trying to figure out which way grandpa's house was. When Dad stuck his head out the door yelling at us, " get back in the house, where do you think yous are going?" It makes me smile and laugh when I think about this memory of my father giving it his all with 3 young hell raisers. The shit we must have put him through.
