Yelena Vikhodets, 57, of Wyoming passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Ukraine, a daughter of Lucy Verkoova Vikh and Alex Vikh of Wilkes-Barre. Yelena was a graduate of Meyers High School, where she was a member of the Honor Society. She received her associate's degree in accounting from Luzerne County Community College in 1990 and she received her bachelor’s degree in professional studies from Misericordia University in 2008. While in college Yelena was on the dean’s list and graduated with honors.

For the past 22 years she was employed by the Social Security Administration as a claim adjudicator in Wilkes-Barre.

Yelena touched many lives and will be deeply missed by her parents and by her many loving friends.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
